Wolfpups

What is Wolfpups?

Wolfpups is our u8 program. Experienced coaches, along with some current high school soccer players, run fun sessions to start teaching your young soccer players some basic soccer skills to get them ready for league play.

What is the format for Wolfpups?

Sessions are run on Saturday morning. Our youngest players receive 30-40 minutes of instruction, followed by 20-30 minutes of actual scrimmage/game time. Our older groups participate in 60-70 minutes of instruction, followed by 20-30 minutes of scrimmage/game time.

What is the focus for Wolfpups?

The focus for Wolfpups is fun in an educational way! The goal is to teach the kids soccer skills within a fun framework of games and other activities.

Are there teams formed?

No. We divide the kids up by age groups for their instructional time then, when it’s time to scrimmage, whomever is there that day are divided up into teams. So your soccer player could play with different kids each week, but within their age group.

What is the cost?

Historically we have charged around $30-35 for each season, which consists of 6-7 sessions. This cost includes a Wolfpups t-shirt they can wear to sessions if they choose.

What does my soccer player need to bring?

Ideally soccer cleats (not baseball or football), but any athletic shoes they can run in will work, shin guards, a soccer ball and water to drink.

Can I stay and watch?

Absolutely. Many parents stay for the whole session, but you don’t have to. Many family members time their arrival for the scrimmage part of the day.

How do I sign up my soccer player?

About a month before Wolfpups begins (after Labor Day in the Fall, after Spring break in the Spring) there will be a registration link posted on our Facebook page and our website. Simply click on the link and fill out the required information.
